I have just been in hospital for 10days whilst on holiday in France with suspected diverticulitis and perforated colon. I was sent home with a very restricted diet, no fibre, mainly chicken, fish etc. My appt at my hospital is not until 23rd Aug and I have finished all my anitiboitics and am still following the diet after 4 weeks, I do not know if I should continue with this restricted diet until my appt or should I start widening my food regime. I have lost 11lbs in weight so far the only positive thing but I feel I am missing out on vitamins from fruit and vegetables. Has anyone any advise. I had never had any problems before this one episode.
