Its 4 months since I had a 'left hemicolectomy' surgery for diverticular. I've had a pretty bad time recovering as the wound became infected just days after surgery and went on for 3 months. There was a section of wound which would not heal and was weeping for weeks. After several cautorisations it eventually healed up. However, now that I am more or less 'back to normal' I am experiencing a lot of pain/soreness along and at the sides of the scar. It is not the scar as such, rather internally. My question is: do others suffer this and if so: does it go with time?
