Aloe Vera Juice

Postby AnneinFL » Thu Jun 25, 2009 9:07 pm

Hi All,

I have about 16 months without an attack! I've had slight flare ups but take my hyoscamine (antispasmodic) and it seems to calm it down. I received an email about aloe vera linked to someone selling some very expensive pills. I have been using Aloe Vera in juice form for a while with good results. You can buy a gallon of it for $6.00 -$8.00. Here is the link: http://www.fote.com/prod_health.html I buy it at a local grocery store in the US (Publix). It doesn't have much taste. I add it to a protein shake I make. I've also recently found it in powder form with a mango flavor - I add it to my tea and it tastes great. I buy this from Herbalife. Just wanted to share some stuff that has helped me. Good health!

Hi Anne,
I am an Herbalife distributor in CA and have also enjoyed the products for more than 7 years, losing 40 pounds and have been unbelieveably healthy. I'm almost 69 years old and literally run circles around the kids on the tennis courts. A couple weeks ago, I became totally blocked and could not have a BM for 8 days, was in extreme pain and very lathargic. Thinking it was my appendix, I was rushed in for a CT scan only to discover it was Diverticulitis & an abscess. I just got out of an 8 day stint in the hospital. While there, it was the first 4 days of IV saline solution, heavy antibiotics and morphine for the pain. No water or food. The the next 2 days my diet consisted of jello, broth, juice & tea and finally the last 2 days of a 'soft' diet. I'm now home, still on antibiotics but am able to maintain the soft diet [taking only soluable fiber right now] and thank goodness for the protein shakes and aloe. Since I am restricted from many foods that I love (like broccoli, strawberries etc), I know I'm at least getting the nutrition I need with my shakes. My father had such severe Divert... that he ended up with the bag which back in his day was miserable. Not only can this be brought on by diet, but stress can be a big contributor to the condition and right now that seems to be my main element. Stick to your Herbalife!! You can't go wrong there.
